Biography
Carolina Mascarin was born in 1979 in Bogota, Columbia. She has a degree in Social Communication and Journalism with a specialization in investigative journalism from the Universidad Libertadores in Bogota. The art of communication runs deep in her family. Her passion for photography emerged when her uncle, a painter and photographer, loaned her his camera for a college project. Since then, the lens has been an inspiration for her storytelling work. Since 2003, she has lived in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband Jamie and their sons Matteo, Jacob and Lucas.
Creative Interpretation
A woman of strong and rebellious character feels transformed by the environment. Our world and perspective change when we are in a new scenario. Elsa faces those changes when she finds herself in a world where she feels tamed. Only with love and empathy, will she reconnect with her reality.

Biografía
Carolina Mascarin nació en 1979 en Bogotá, Colombia. Estudió en la Universidad Libertadores de Bogotá, Colombia donde se recibió con el título de Licenciada en Comunicación Social y Periodismo, con especialización en periodismo de investigación. El arte de la comunicación corre en su familia, y la pasión por la fotografía se desarrolló por primera vez cuando su tío, pintor y fotógrafo, le prestó su cámara para un proyecto en la universidad. Desde entonces la lente de la cámara ha sido una fuente de inspiración para esta comunicadora y narradora. Desde 2003 reside en Charleston, Carolina del Sur con su esposo Jamie y sus tres hermosos hijos Matteo, Jacob y Lucas.
Interpretación creativa
Una mujer de carácter fuerte y rebelde se siente transformada por el entorno. El mundo cambia de perspectiva cuando nos cambia el escenario. Elsa afronta ese cambio cuando llega a un mundo en el que se siente domada. Solo el amor y la comprensión terminan conectándola de nuevo con la realidad.
